This campaign
is a dialogue. One person talks or writes.
Someone else reads and responds. Interactivity
begins. People are involved. That’s one of the
joys of the internet. Relationships grow from
dialogue.
We’re asking
people in Wyoming to tell us their stories
relating to alcohol and tobacco misuse. To help
others recognize the line from others’
mistakes. But we need to remind people that the
website is there. Get them to go to
www.wedrawtheline.com. Ask your friends, your
neighbors, and the kids in your local youth
groups to tell a story or leave a comment. We
want the line to reach everyone across the
state. We want you and them to be a part of a
movement.
Think about
it. If we all invest a lot of time, energy and
imagination, together we will draw the line and
build a movement. Not to mention, we’ll help
each other and make Wyoming even better than it
already is. Thanks in advance for your help.

Do we really need to draw the line?
It’s called secondhand harm. When the actions
of one harm another.
-
It’s when
smoke from a cigarette damages the health of
another person.
-
It’s when
someone drives drunk and kills or hurts
someone.
-
It’s when
someone drinks too much and that drinking harms
a relationship with a family member, child, or
friend.
-
It’s when an adult buys or provides alcohol
to youngsters.
This isn’t
about judging. No one’s here to tell people to
stop smoking or drinking, but if their behavior
causes harm to their friends, family, or even
strangers, then it’s time to draw the line.
Secondhand harm is the most powerful reason in the minds of
Wyomingites to modify inappropriate or abusive
behavior. It comes to life through this green
line and always asks, “Where do you draw the
line?” Ultimately, it’s up to the people of
Wyoming to answer the question themselves. (WY
